This is our finest quality, O-Koicha-grade Japanese matcha, handpicked in Nishio by venerable Japanese tea masters. It’s perfect for tea ceremonies and very special occasions. You can always spot proper Japanese matcha: the green should be vibrant, the texture silky and smooth, and the liquor should ping and zip around the palate.
Do not confuse conventional Japanese matcha with organic matcha, as they have distinctive flavours. While conventional Japanese matcha is creamy and umami-sweet, organic matcha has all the flavours of conventional matcha plus a bitter aftertaste due to its process and condition free of pesticides.
Matcha tea powder, especially high-quality powder like this, contains up to 15 times more nutrients than loose leaf green tea. It’s packed with antioxidants like EGCG, as well as fiber, chlorophyll, and vitamin C.
Origin: Japan
Grade: Ceremonial (O-Koicha).
Ingredients: Certified Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder.
Aroma: Umami marine and vegetal.
Serving suggestion: Sift 1/2 teaspoon into a cup (250ml) with hot water (70-80ºC). Whisk or stir until a rich foam develops. Drink within 3 minutes.
Packaging: Our Organic Japanese Ceremonial Matcha is delivered in sealed, air-tight pouches.
Storage: Store refrigerated below 10°C, out of light.
