Organic Lemon Verbena

 

A fresh breeze on a warm summers day.

It has a long history. Native to South America, the plant was first brought to Europe in the 17^th century, by the Portuguese and the Spanish, cultivated for oil. Today it is widely consumed to aid digestion and is enjoyed as a delicious after-dinner treat.  our Organic Our Lemon Verbena is collected from the plant after the first flowers start to open. This is when the leaves produce the best flavour, after which the stems can be cut for harvesting. The result is a bright citrusy flavour profile that’s light, fragrant, and zesty. The perfect way to lighten up a dull day.

Ingredients: Certified Organic Lemon Verbena.

Aroma: Zesty and Citrusy

Serving suggestion: Add 1-2 teaspoon into a cup (250ml) with hot water (90-95°C) and brew for 1-3 minutes. Strain and serve hot, or place in the fridge and serve chilled or over ice.

Storage: Store at ambient temperature in a dry place, out of light.
