Organic Lapsang Souchong (Premium Natural Wood Smoke)

Lapsang Souchong at it's finest. This is the highest grade available  and is smoked using natural local timber that leaves a clean, smoky-woody flavour. Perfect to pair with food or enjoyed on its own, like a fine whiskey.

Traditionally, Lapsang Souchong is grown in the Fujian province in China. The ‘Souchong’ refers to the fourth and fifth leaves of the plant, which are coarser and less aromatic than the pekoe buds (hence the whole drying-by-campfire). Our Lapsang Souchong is double smoked over pinewood embers for a complex aroma: you’ll smell timber resin, sweet paprika and the peaty whiff of malt whisky.

Aroma: Complex, layered and smokey

Serving suggestion: Add 1 teaspoon and brew in 90-95ºC water for 2-3 minutes. Adjust your steep time for extra flavour.

Packaging: Our Organic Lapsang Souchong is delivered in sealed, air-tight pouches.

Storage: Store below 18ºC in a dry place, out of light.
