Tea 'N' Teas by Tea Studio

The Tea Studio is located in Nilgiri (South India) and is a 100% women run unit. They focus on sustainability and run on LPG and solar with 0% pollution. Only the finest leaves are sourced and the profits are used to ensure that farmers are paid up to 10 times more than regular factories.

Our mission is to make a difference in the tea world, especially in India. We want to be able to reach our to people and teach them that we can make very fine teas using Assamica leaf.

 

About The Tea

Origin: Nilgiri (South India)

Varietal: Camellia sinensis var. Assamica

Style: Made with two leaves and one bud (whole leaf tea).

Taste Profile: Deep and balanced black tea with hints of cocoa, prune, stone fruit and caramel with subtle sweet floral notes as it unfurls in the cup.

Caffeine: Medium

Elevation: 2,340 meters above sea level.

Brewing: Brew at around 90-95°c for around 1 minute. Can be steeped multiple times to maximise its value.
