About Arakai Estate
Arakai Estate Tea Gardens

Arakai Estate, a family-owned tea farm located in Bellthorpe, Queensland, is dedicated to producing premium quality tea with a holistic approach. Founded by the Collins family—Darryl and Lorraine—after 25 years in the timber industry, the estate honours the majestic Araucaria tree, which is significant to the local ecosystem and features prominently in their sustainable practices.
Under the management of Brendon and Kristie Collins, the estate transitioned from timber to tea cultivation, inspired by the idea of growing tea featured on ABC's 'Landline.' Extensive research confirmed that Bellthorpe's climate was ideal for cultivating Camellia sinensis var. sinensis. Their first commercial harvest occurred in September 2015, leading to the establishment of an on-site processing facility that employs traditional Taiwanese techniques. This commitment to quality ensures a deliciously fresh and aromatic liquor that revitalizes the body, mind, and spirit.
Arakai Estate's dedication to excellence has been recognized on both national and international stages. Their teas garnered multiple awards at the inaugural Australian International Tea Expo, including 'Best Australian Green Tea,' 'Best Australian Black Tea,' and the coveted title of 'Best Green Tea' from the international category.
With a focus on producing the highest quality whole leaf tea, Arakai Estate invites tea lovers to experience the rich flavours and wellness benefits of their Premium Black Tea, crafted with care and rooted in a proud family legacy.
